2. What we collect

When you use Jamie, we may collect:

• Information you provide directly (name, email, organization when you contact us)
• Symptom and health information you share during a triage session
• Device and usage information (browser type, IP address) for service operation

Health information shared during triage sessions is handled with healthcare-grade care. It is used only to provide the triage service in that session.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the triage service you requested
• To respond to inquiries and pilot requests
• To improve the service (using de-identified, aggregated information only)
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use health data from sessions for AI model training.

Symptom and health information you share during triage sessions is processed by AI model providers operating under contractual data protection obligations to generate triage recommendations. No personally identifiable health information is shared for AI model training purposes.

4. Legal basis and applicable law

We operate under PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) at the federal level. Depending on your province, additional requirements under BC PIPA, Ontario PHIPA, or Quebec Law 25 may apply. We design to the most stringent applicable standard.

5. Data residency

Health data and personal information are stored and processed in Canada (AWS ca-central-1, Montreal). We do not transfer personal health information outside Canada without explicit consent.

6. Retention

Session data is retained as required to provide the service and comply with applicable regulations. Contact inquiry information is retained as needed to respond to your request.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@jamieapp.com.

If you are a Quebec resident, you also have the right to: (a) be informed that a triage recommendation affecting you was made by automated means; (b) request the personal information used and the clinical protocols that contributed to the recommendation; (c) request review of the automated recommendation by a qualified person.
